Carrying of a Loaded Firearm: Not Guilty After Trial

The client was charged with Carrying of a Firearm, Carrying of a Loaded Firearm, and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon in the City of New Bedford. It was alleged that the client brandished the firearm and threatened his girlfriend, then left the residence in his car. The client was stopped by the police almost immediately. He was alone in his car. A firearm was recovered underneath the passenger seat. Not guilty verdicts entered after a jury trial. This case was heard in the New Bedford District Court.
