Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol: Not Guilty After Trial
The client was charged with Operating under the Influence of Alcohol in the City of New Bedford. A field sobriety checkpoint was set up in New Bedford. The client drove through the checkpoint without stopping to speak with the troopers as directed. Once stopped by a state police cruiser, the client performed a series of field sobriety tests. The trooper formed the opinion the client was under the influence of alcohol and the client was arrested. After a bench trial, a not guilty verdict entered. This case was heard in the New Bedford District Court.
