Wrongfully accused of sexual assault

A client sought Attorney Fogarty’s assistance after being wrongfully accused of a sexual assault.  The police department sought to charge the client with three counts of Indecent Assault and Battery and the matter was brought before a Clerk Magistrate for a hearing in the Taunton District Court. Attorney Fogarty gathered all of the relevant evidence necessary to convince the Clerk Magistrate that her client was innocent and successfully convinced the Clerk Magistrate that the sexual assaults never occurred. Attorney Fogarty was able to prevent the charges from being issued at all. Because her client was never arraigned on these charges, they will never appear on her client’s criminal record.
